Prea is known for its consistent trade winds, which create ideal conditions for kitesurfing. The windy season typically runs from June to February, with peak conditions in July and August. The average wind speed ranges from 15 to 25 knots, providing excellent opportunities for kitesurfers of all skill levels
Prea has a long stretch of sandy coastline and offers ample space for kitesurfing. The beach has a wide area of shallow water, perfect for beginners to practice and learn. As you venture further out, you'll find more challenging conditions, catering to advanced riders. In the months of September, October and November, the presence of the full and new moon can bring stronger winds, reaching 35 knots in the afternoon. The wind also influences the waves and, in combination with the lunar phase, the largest waves can reach up to 2 meters in height.
